Patrick John Espanto is a graduate of Bachelors in Music with a major in Cello Performance at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, College of Music under the guidance of Prof. Eduardo Pasamba. 

He's been part of the UP Arco or the University of the Philippines String Orchestra that represent the Philippines from various international festivals and competitions in Europe.

He is currently a member and the Principal Cellist of the University of the Philippines Symphony Orchestra. Recently had performances from local and international scene such as the Concert of Goodwill where they performed at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and in the 12th China-Asean Music Festival in Nanning, China.
