Arthur Erskine Basilio
Born on December 17, 1981, Erskine showed great love for music at an early age. He was awarded “Best Filipino Guitarist” at the 2011 Philippine International Guitar Festival and Competition. He participated and won the UST Guitar competition in Year 2000, and competed in the 2006 NAMCYA Guitar Competition Category C which garnered him the 3rd place. Performance credits include a Solo concert at the CCP entitled Men with Guitars, “Concierto de Aranjuez” at the UST museum, performances at the CCP with Grace Nono entitled “Gugma” and with world-renowned sitarist Paul Living Stone in “Chants, Ragas and Rhythms for Peace." International performances include The Rainforest World Music Festival 2018 with Grace Nono at Sarawak, Malaysia.
Adventurous at heart, he explored different genres of music, which led him to new places and experiences - jazz recording, rock and theater music, to name a few. He has fairly become a participant in the local music industry Erskine graduated “Magna Cum Laude” at the University of Santo Tomas Graduate School with the degree of Master in Music major in Guitar performance. He is currently a faculty of the University of Sto. Tomas Conservatory of Music.
Erskine resides in Pacita, Laguna with his wife Christine and baby Lucia.
